This a drawing of my grandmother's fresian. The barn she boarded him at had caught fire and unfortunatly it burned down killin around 18 horses...
There were three barns and the on ethat burned was the borders burned so many people lost a beloved part of thier family... They think it started from an electrical problem. There was a lightning storm the previous week and they think something had gotten struck. The weird thing was that Haarlem died on his birthday. Also, I was already drawing this is was just about done and then the accident happend. So, yeah thats sorta weird. I finished it by adding in the words 'In Loving Memory" I miss this sweet horse and the others I knew that passed... Done in Prismacolors |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Please boycott the horse racing industry. In the UK, 375 horses are raced to death each year by falling and breaking bones to collapsing from heart attacks after races. Statistics compiled by registered animal welfare charity, Animal Aid.
They are tryin to turn it into a better situation you know, To help ease the pain. The new barn will be better and they are taking advantage of the construction to build a new covered arena. So every little bit helps I suppose!
